Thursday, June 10, 2010 (GMT+7)

The event will take place in the northern port city of Hai Phong and the central coastal cities of Da Nang and Nha Trang this June.

The festival will be held in Hai Phong on June 11-12, in Da Nang on June 18-19 and in Nha Trang on June 25-26.

Two movies will be introduced at the festival, named “Dad likes Women” and “Actresses.” These films were just screened in the Republic of Korea (RoK) early this year.

“Dad Likes Women” is a romantic comedy about a boy who wants to search for his father, who has become a woman after a transsexual sex reassignment surgery.

“Actresses” is a story happening at a film studio during a photo shoot for Vogue fashion magazine with a Christmas theme composed of six movie stars from 20-60-years-old, where the audience can catch a glimpse into the world of actresses.

“We hope to introduce to Vietnamese audience the beauty and creativeness in RoK movies. This will be a meaningful cultural exchange event which will contribute to enhancing Vietnamese people’s interest and understanding of Korean movies,” said director of the Korean Culture Centre in Vietnam, Keum Gi Hyung.
