Hometown of Hoang Sa navy soldiers is Ly Son island where navy soldiers went to protect Hoang Sa island 150 years ago.

Through a long time of history, the vestiges of  thousand- year volcano still remain in the limestone mountain range emerging the sea of Ly Son island.
