Thinking about opening a business in Vietnam?

Ask:I'm thinking about opening a restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I know the economy is growing by the minute, but I'm really skeptical about the laws and government there. Does anyone have any input on this?
Answer:I would think that IF you know your cooking and can offer something with real QUALITY, UNIQUE (and maybe American) cooking, you might have something! But, there are lots of fast food places, I think there is a McDucks in HCMC. There is KFC in Ha Noi, so no doubt they are in HCMC. And there are local BBQ joints (I should try one of those to see how bad they are!).
Not easy, I am sure. Potentially interesting, but you better know your market, and your marketing!!!! before you wade into these shark-infested waters!
